‘Read’ Speed and ‘Write’ Speed Explained

Memory card ‘read speed’ refers to how fast the image files transfer from the card to your computer. The ‘write speed’ (also known as card speed) refers to how fast the data transfers from the camera to the memory card when shooting.

Super-fast write and read speeds are essential for certain types of photography (i.e. sports and action photography) but are not overly important for real estate photographers.
